About The Position

Under general supervision, the Count Team Member collects and counts currency and chips derived from gaming devices. The role safeguards large amounts of currency and conducts all facets of the count process, from opening boxes and counting the drop through documentation verification, currency bundling, and final reconciliation. The position also prepares funds and documentation for transfer to the Main Bank and transfers documentation to the Revenue Audit Department daily.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately account for large amounts of cash.
• Ability to be physically mobile and stand or walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in areas with dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and varying air quality.
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Protect large amounts of currency and help prevent loss through careful attention to detail.
• Assist with slot and table games drop by collecting currency and chips from gaming devices according to established procedures.
• Mechanically count the contents of table drop boxes and determine the drop and win by table.
• Mechanically count the contents of bill validator boxes.
• Follow procedures and controls to protect counted receipts.
• Monitor changes or problems that may affect currency security in the Count Room and report observations to the Count Room Supervisor.
• Count and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
• Transfer corresponding documentation to the Revenue Audit Department daily.
• Prepare funds and proper documentation for transfer to the Main Bank.
• Conduct the full count process, including opening boxes, counting the drop, verifying documentation, bundling currency, and reconciling totals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
