About The Position

Under general supervision, the Count Team Member collects and counts currency and chips derived from gaming devices. The role protects large amounts of currency and follows established procedures and controls throughout the count process. Duties include collecting slot and table games drop, mechanically counting table drop boxes and bill validator boxes, reconciling funds, and preparing documentation and funds for transfer. The position also monitors security conditions in the Count Room and reports relevant observations to the Count Room Supervisor.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately account for large amounts of cash.
• Ability to be physically mobile and stand or walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in areas with dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds, and varying air quality.
• Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Protect extremely large amounts of currency and prevent loss through careful attention to detail.
• Assist with slot and table games drop by collecting currency and chips from gaming devices in accordance with established procedures.
• Mechanically count the contents of table drop boxes to determine the drop and win by table.
• Mechanically count the contents of bill validator boxes.
• Follow procedures and controls to protect counted receipts.
• Monitor changes or problems that could affect currency security in the Count Room and report observations to the Count Room Supervisor.
• Count and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
• Transfer corresponding documentation to the Revenue Audit Department daily.
• Prepare funds and documentation for transfer to the Main Bank.
• Complete all facets of the count, including opening boxes, counting drops, verifying documentation, bundling currency, and reconciling totals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
