Count Room Team Member - Full Time (Caesars Palace LV)
About The Position
The Count Room Team Member performs casino cash-counting and related duties, including bill validator pulls, coin drops, weighing, wrapping, bagging, and racking coins from the daily drop. The role also performs Table Games and Poker Box counts and Slots Bill Validator counts, as well as preventive maintenance when required. The position reports duties as assigned by the Counts Rooms Manager. The team member picks up, protects, and delivers Slot Drop money from the casino floor to the Hard Count Room, wraps daily cash and transfers it to the vault, and efficiently and accurately collects and counts casino funds. The role requires adherence to attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work all shifts.
- Ability to get along with coworkers and work as part of a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds; push and pull carts and carry boxes filled with currency weighing up to 5 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver in and around all count rooms.
- Ability to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations, including employee conflicts.
- Ability to grip objects and use good finger movement when counting and handling currency.
- Ability to differentiate chip denominations and determine currency authenticity.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (6 to 7 hours).
- Ability to operate a computer, ten-key adding machine, and money counter.
- Ability to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items as necessary.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
Nice To Haves
- Skills operating adding machines, computer terminals, and currency-counting machines are helpful.
- Basic mechanical (repair) ability preferred.
- Prior count room or money handling experience in a casino or bank preferred.
Responsibilities
- Pick up, protect, and deliver all buckets of Slot Drop money from the casino floor to the Hard Count Room.
- Wrap all money collected daily and transfer it to the vault.
- Efficiently and accurately collect and count casino funds.
- Perform bill validator pulls, coin drops, weighing, wrapping, bagging, and racking of coins from the daily drop.
- Perform Table Games and Poker Box counts and Slots Bill Validator counts.
- Perform preventive maintenance as required and other duties assigned by the Counts Rooms Manager.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
