The Count-Drop Clerk I supports the Finance Department’s Count/Drop Area by collecting and processing gaming funds, maintaining transaction integrity, and completing related records and reports. The role requires working knowledge of Gaming Commission laws, rules, and regulations, along with departmental policies, procedures, and controls. Clerks assist with slot and kiosk drops, count and reconcile gaming revenue, prepare and verify documentation, and research disputes. They are accountable for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports. The position involves substantial physical labor, including repeatedly bending, opening slot-machine doors and boxes, removing and carrying cans, moving carts containing currency, spreading cans within designated timeframes, and refilling kiosks or ATMs. Clerks remain standing for extended periods and move throughout the count room. They operate counting equipment and enter table data into Pit Boss, while maintaining equipment and reporting suspicious activity to the Count/Drop Supervisor.
