About The Position

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is recruiting a PRN Social Worker/Licensed Professional Counselor to provide quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families. The counselor leads patient groups and documents notes that clearly explain patient participation and progress. The role serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy.

Requirements

• A master’s degree in a behavioral science or mental health-related field is required.
• Current state licensure and/or certification to work in an IOP/PHP program is required.
• Ability to relate well with treatment professionals.
• Ability to mobilize and coordinate staff resources.
• Courtesy and tact in interactions with the public and people within the organization and counseling centers.
• Organizational skills and ability to keep information highly confidential.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings is preferred.
• General knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.
• Basic data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management and psychotherapeutic services to patients and their families.

• Access and add information to the medical record only for assigned patients.
