About The Position
Fairmount Behavioral Health System is seeking a PRN Assessment Coordinator. Located on a 27-acre wooded campus bordering Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, Fairmount provides behavioral health and substance dependency services to children, adolescents, and adults, including specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment. Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Assessment Coordinator interviews and assesses potential patients and inquiry callers. The role works with the Business Office on patient financial data and with the UR Department on certification of admitted patients. It also initiates referrals when indicated and communicates with referral sources.
Requirements
- MA or MSW in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services.
- Prior intake, assessment, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Computer and data-entry experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of insurance and managed care, psychiatric diagnosis and symptomatology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, and crisis behavior management.
Responsibilities
