ASSESSMENT COORD (MA/MSW)
About The Position
Fairmount Behavioral Health System is located on a wooded campus bordering Fairmount Park in Philadelphia and provides psychiatric, behavioral health, alcohol and drug detox, rehabilitation, and co-occurring treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. The organization is seeking a part-time Assessment Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions, the Assessment Coordinator interviews and assesses potential patients and people making inquiries. The role works with the Business Office on patient financial data and with the UR Department on certification of admitted patients. The coordinator initiates referrals when indicated and communicates with referral sources.
Requirements
- MA/MSW in Counseling, Psychology, or Human Services.
- Prior intake, assessment, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Computer and data-entry experience.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of insurance/managed care, psychiatric diagnosis and symptomatology, basic chemical dependency, age-specific growth and development, and crisis behavior management.
Responsibilities
