PART TIME POOL - COUNSELOR (EOPS/CARE/NextUp)
About The Position
The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is recruiting for a part-time faculty Counselor in the Counseling department, serving the EOPS/CARE/NextUp programs. Under administrative leadership, part-time faculty perform work that supports the visions, missions, and values of the colleges and District. Responsibilities include matters related to classroom assignments, student evaluation, curriculum, student advising, professional development, and assignment-specific needs. Work hours vary based on assignment. The position is less than 67% FTE, with an anticipated start date of Spring 2027. Applications are retained in the pool for one year, and candidates may be contacted for interviews as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development, or the equivalent.
- For EOPS counselors hired after October 24, 1987, either: a minimum of nine semester units of college coursework predominantly relating to ethnic minorities or persons disadvantaged by language, social, or economic circumstances; or six semester units or equivalent of college-level counseling practicum or field-work courses in a community college EOPS program or a program predominantly serving such groups.
- If applying under equivalency, submit the additional Equivalency Determination Form and equivalency materials.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual ability in Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Arabic, or Spanish is highly desirable.
