About The Position

BrightView is seeking a proactive, compassionate Counselor to support individuals in recovery and contribute to its treatment team. The position involves providing addiction-focused care in a dynamic counseling environment and helping develop and deliver therapeutic programs. The Counselor works with an onsite multidisciplinary team to support patients’ recovery and wellness.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum (for example, CSAC-S).
• Education consistent with state-level regulations and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion to support patients’ recovery.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• Technological capability and comfort using multiple communication and documentation systems.
• Integrity and commitment to a culture of compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with MS Office software, including Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Prior experience with harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review patient progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required on-site staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Timely and comprehensively document treatment data in the electronic patient health record.
• Follow applicable regulatory and company compliance requirements.
