About The Position

BrightView is seeking a proactive, compassionate Counselor to support individuals on their recovery journey and contribute to its treatment team. The role involves providing addiction-related counseling and quality care in a dynamic clinical environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, and supporting the development and delivery of therapeutic programs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
• Active entry-level clinical certification or licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum (for example, CSAC-S).
• Education consistent with state-level regulations and requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy and compassion in supporting patients’ recovery.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
• Technological capability and comfort using multiple systems for communication and documentation.
• High integrity and adherence to BrightView’s compliance culture.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Familiarity with MS Office software, such as Outlook, Teams, and Word.
• Prior experience with harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning and review patient progress toward treatment-plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document treatment data accurately and promptly in the electronic patient health record.
• Comply with applicable regulatory and company requirements.
