About The Position

BrightView Health is seeking a proactive and compassionate Counselor to contribute to its treatment team and support individuals on their path to recovery. The position requires a strong understanding of addiction therapy and the ability to deliver quality care in a dynamic counseling environment. The Counselor plans and conducts group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments, supports treatment planning and progress monitoring, coordinates care with an onsite multidisciplinary team, and maintains timely, comprehensive electronic health records while complying with regulatory and company requirements.

Requirements

• Active clinical licensure consistent with state-level regulatory requirements, at minimum.
• At minimum, a bachelor's degree, consistent with state-level regulations and requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments according to clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress toward treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including onsite staff and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Document all necessary treatment data in the electronic patient health record accurately and promptly.
• Follow regulatory and company compliance requirements.
