Under the direct supervision of the Program Director/Supervisor, the Counselor I/II provides treatment and recovery services to participating clients, monitors, documents, and supports client treatment progress, maintains ethical and evidence-based care, and participates in treatment team activities. The role involves conducting comprehensive substance use screenings, developing individualized care plans, providing evidence-based services, supporting clients with relapse prevention and discharge planning, and coordinating with external resources. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, performing toxicology testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, assisting clients with reintegration needs, and responding to crises. The position requires participation in ongoing training, clinical meetings, and quality improvement initiatives, while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality.
