About The Position

Provide direct counseling services, consultation to ecclesiastical leaders, community resource development and referral, and support to other staff while working under clinical supervision to obtain independent licensure. As approved, provide program supervision, ecclesiastical outreach, and professional training to other staff. Provide quality customer service and comply with policy, licensing requirements, and professional standards of practice.

For positions categorized as on-call or part-time, working hours are not to exceed 19 hours per week. Time spent on each responsibility varies by location. The role includes developing and fulfilling a whole area service plan, which may involve traveling to outlying areas and overnight stays as needed, and working evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or a related degree that leads to clinical licensure.
• Associate, Intermediate, or Interim license is required (ASW/CSW/MFT).
• Obtain an independent practice license within 3–5 years.
• Demonstrate basic clinical skills and receptiveness to feedback.
• LDS Family Services Executive Council approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care under structured supervision while working toward independent licensure.
• Provide consultation to church leaders and develop and maintain positive relationships with them.
• Ensure legal, ethical, and policy compliance.
• Identify and develop community resources.
• Take responsibility for continued professional development.
• Protect and ensure client confidentiality.
• Develop and fulfill a whole area service plan, including travel to outlying areas and overnight stays as needed, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• As approved, provide program supervision, ecclesiastical outreach, and professional training to other staff.
• Provide quality customer service and comply with licensing requirements and professional standards of practice.
