About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Cost Management Analyst to join our BPI Buildings & Places Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of New York, NY. The role supports the preparation and issuance of periodic cost reports, inputting POs, orders, and invoices into the cost report. It also involves supporting the review of change orders, preparing and monitoring a change order log, and reviewing/monitoring invoices, potentially coding them and forwarding them to accounts payable. The position may also support the procurement of construction and engineering services, including RFP preparation and bid analysis, and the overview of contractor buyout of subcontract bid packages. Additionally, the role involves organizing and attending bi-weekly cost meetings and supporting the review of contractor closeout documents.

Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Must generally understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the preparation and issuance of periodic cost reports.
  • Input PO, orders and invoices into the cost report where applicable.
  • Support the review of change orders in accordance with the client’s approval process.
  • Prepares and routinely monitors a change order log.
  • Review and monitor all the invoices for the project.
  • May code the invoices where applicable and forward them to the client's account payable department.
  • Support the procurement of construction and engineering services, including preparing RFP and bid analysis, where applicable.
  • Supports the overview of contractor buyout of subcontract bid packages, where applicable.
  • Organize and attend bi-weekly cost meetings to review procurement status and change order status with the contractors and engineering teams.
  • Support the review of contractor closeout documents.
