About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Cost Controller. As Cost Controller, you will be involved with implementing, administering and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value. You will assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates, provide cost information to support decisions and alternative selection, and evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids, providing recommendations for decision making. The role also involves providing forecasts and cash flow analysis, maintaining and managing the cost report with regular updates on financial position, and assisting in the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule. Additionally, you will assist in developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value. This role requires building intricate spreadsheets for fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets, extracting data from several sources, transforming it to fit operational needs, and reconciling data to support complete accuracy and create a clean audit trail. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • The minimum salary for the position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Program Scheduler position is $190,000 annually.
