About The Position

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Cost Controller. As Cost Controller, you will be involved with implementing, administering, and maintaining cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts for projects of medium complexity and value. You will also assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates, provide cost information to support decision-making and alternative selection, evaluate and analyze fee proposals/bids, and provide recommendations for decision-making. Additionally, you will provide forecasts and cash flow analysis, maintain and manage the cost report, and provide regular updates on the financial position. This role also involves assisting in the development, validation, and maintenance of the project schedule, as well as developing reporting tracking tools and generating cost reports on a regular basis, including evaluation of earned value. You will build intricate spreadsheets for fast and accurate data manipulation of large datasets, extract data from several sources, and transform it to fit operational needs. Reconciling data to support complete accuracy and creating a clean audit trail is also a key part of this role. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and are to be adhered to where applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience working in a cost management role in the construction industry
  • Experience supporting cost management on medium or large sized construction projects
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, value management, and value engineering
  • Strong communication skills

  • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Benefits

  • The minimum salary for the position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Program Scheduler position is $190,000 annually.
