About The Position

Worldwide Foam is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Specialist to join its finance team in Elkhart, Indiana. The role focuses on analyzing manufacturing costs, maintaining accurate product costing and inventory valuation, and supporting financial reporting. The specialist partners with operations to provide analysis that informs business decisions and supports profitability and operational performance. The position is full-time and exempt, and reports to the Controller. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 3 years of cost accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting methodologies.
Experience with ERP and costing systems such as Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing and operational costs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain and update standard costs for inventory and manufactured products.
Track and report cost of goods sold, including expected versus actual performance.
Monitor and reconcile variance accounts and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Create, maintain, and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and item master data.
Partner with operations teams on cost analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses for management.
Assist with cross-functional projects and support the accounting and finance team as needed.
