About The Position

Responsible for building, maintaining, and distributing recurring reporting that supports cost accounting, operations, and hog procurement decision-making across Triumph Foods. Extracts and validates data from Company production, payroll, and procurement systems; applies Company-approved artificial intelligence tools to accelerate analysis, automation, and documentation; and delivers accurate, reproducible reporting to cost accounting and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited educational institution is required.
  • Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook), particularly in creating and manipulating spreadsheets and other data analysis.
  • Must be a detail-oriented, effective performer who can operate within strict timelines and adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Must be able to take direction, ask clarifying questions, and follow documented procedures accurately in a team environment.
  • Must have working knowledge of how artificial intelligence tools are applied in a business setting, including using them to automate recurring tasks, improve existing processes, and support analysis, along with the judgment to recognize where such tools are appropriate and where they are not.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, employees, and management personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language, such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand basic statistics for process control.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring daily, weekly, and period reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs using Excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Write, test, and maintain queries against Company production, payroll, and procurement systems (AS400/ERP, MES, and related databases) to extract data for analysis and reporting.
  • Serve as preparer and backup for recurring reporting deliverables, ensuring accurate and on-time distribution to internal stakeholders.
  • Reconcile reported figures to source systems and investigate variances before reports are distributed.
  • Document report logic, data sources, query definitions, and refresh procedures so that all recurring reporting is reproducible by others.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements across departments.
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and reports.
  • Integrate with our state-of-the-art pork production operations.
  • Work on the pork production floor to identify incremental revenue opportunities and cost saving initiatives.
  • Support all Business Support sub departments including Purchasing, Training, Maintenance Training, Yields, Inventory, Hog Procurement, and the Knife Room.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis of production processes, materials, and labor to support pricing and margin decisions.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating standard costs in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and alignment with actual performance.
  • Analyze variances between standard and actual costs, providing insights and recommendations to operations and finance teams.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports, including inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and production efficiency metrics.
  • Collaborate with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to manufacturing costs and inventory.
  • Support the hog procurement team primarily from a reporting and analysis perspective.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and distribute recurring hog procurement reporting to support month-end close and management review.
