About The Position
Daytime substitute positions are available on the WCJC Wharton Campus for the Fall 2026 semester. The primary responsibility of a faculty member is to provide the most effective instruction possible in their discipline. Supervision is received from the appropriate supervisor. The faculty member works to ensure that their instruction meets the educational needs of students. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and candidates will be considered as departmental needs arise.
Requirements
- Cosmetology Operators license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).
- Certificate of cosmetology instructor training of 500 hours or more (if Cosmetology Operator Instructors license was not held prior to September 1, 2021).
- 36 months of full-time work experience.
- Criminal background check.

- Ensure that instruction is meeting the educational needs of students.
