About The Position

A salon and spa is seeking a stylist to join its team. The ideal candidate is professional, energetic, personable, drama-free, and willing to learn the salon’s methods. The role may also include working as an assistant for a period of time. Makeup skills are a plus, and stylists may receive clients referred by other team members. The salon emphasizes teamwork, helping promote the business, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Compensation is hourly plus tips or commission on services and retail plus tips, whichever is greater. When not busy with clients, the stylist is expected to assist other stylists when asked and help with salon tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and dusting. The stylist will perform stress-relieving rituals, shampoo clients as needed, learn the products and their use, complete tasks within designated time frames, and market themselves with the goal of becoming fairly busy within six months. Availability to work some Saturdays is required.

Responsibilities
