About The Position

Operate the transfer cart to load machines and export all sheet orders out. This role involves the operation of a Buggy/Transfer Car on a track between machines, picking up units of sheets/board from the Corrugator Machine, and delivering them to the appropriate converting machines safely and on time. The operation requires constant movement of the cart and units. The employee will also examine products to verify conformance to quality standards and complete necessary reports accurately and in a timely manner, including production data, machine operational status, safety data, and quality data. Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
• Must regularly lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Knowledge of various material-handling equipment an asset.
• Knowledge of product quality specifications.
• Knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Buggy/Transfer Car on Track between machines.
• Pick up units of sheets/board from the Corrugator Machine.
• Deliver appropriate stock/units to the appropriate converting machines safely and on time.
• Constantly move the cart using Forward and Backward Movement and movement of units left and right from and to the various machine centers.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including production data, machine operational status, safety data, and quality data.
