About The Position

This role is for a Corrugator Supervisor on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM). The supervisor will be directly responsible for a shift of hourly employees, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and engagement to meet established goals. This includes supervising employees in the daily production of corrugated board, which involves training, planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, and resolving conflicts. The supervisor is expected to lead and motivate the team by example, fostering an efficient, effective, and safe work environment with a focus on quality products. Strong communication skills are essential for conveying operational information to crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel, and external customers and vendors. The role also requires actively promoting and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and other organizational programs and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees.
  • Responsible for supervision, direction and leadership in safety, quality, productivity and engagement to ensure goals are met.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production and teamwork; resolving conflicts.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude and performance to work efficiently and effectively, while ensuring a safe work environment, and a quality product.
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, other supervisors, plant management, office personnel and outside customers and vendors.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives utilized within the organization.
