About The Position
This role involves assisting in the operation of corrugating or finishing machines to achieve plant goals. Key aspects include working safely, maintaining and improving productivity, securing raw materials, reducing waste, and maintaining quality standards. The position requires active participation in crew meetings and team problem-solving processes.
Requirements
- A high school diploma (or GED) is required.
- One to two years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is required.
- Willingness to work alternate shifts, weekends, and daily overtime as required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the corrugated or converting industry is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Production machine setup
- Reading factory orders
- Accurately reading tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment
- Utilizing basic shop math, inspecting, counting and stacking product
- Accurately completing quality and administrative documents
- Following directions
- Effectively assist in running corrugating or finishing machines to achieve plant goals
- Working safely
- Maintaining/improving productivity according to established methods and goals
- Securing raw materials
