Corrugator Assistant
About The Position
The Corrugator Assistant will be responsible for following all safety rules and practices, performing housekeeping duties, and submitting safe work observation cards. This role requires proficiency with specific equipment and software (Kiwi, COPAR, QMS, SPIs), maintaining clean work areas, and fostering teamwork. The assistant will monitor equipment condition, report maintenance needs, and learn duties of other operators (Starch Operator, Stacker Operator, Double Backer Operator, Clamp Driver) to fill in when they are absent. Additionally, the Corrugator Assistant will perform other assigned duties to meet production needs.
Requirements
- Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler.
- Ability to use basic math.
- Sincere interest and desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.
- Proven leader, goal-oriented, self-starter, good communicator, and computer literate.
- Firm understanding of driving safety culture, adhering to corporate and human resources policy.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and practices.
- Perform housekeeping duties (daily, weekly, and between flute changes).
- Intervene and submit Check It (safe work observation) cards.
- Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas.
- Maintain teamwork with machine crews and other associates.
- Monitor the condition and maintenance needs of the equipment and keep maintenance and/or supervision informed.
- Learn Starch operator duties & responsibilities; operate machine when operator is absent.
- Learn Stacker operator duties & responsibilities; operate machine when operator is absent.
- Learn Double backer duties & responsibilities; operate machine when operator is absent.
- Learn Clamp Driver duties and responsibilities; operate machine when operator is absent.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervision/team lead to ensure production needs are met.
