Role Overview The Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) Correspondence team plays a critical role in helping employees, employers, clients, and account teams understand important claim and leave information. As GBS continues to modernize its claims correspondence letter suite, this role will support efforts to simplify communications, improve readability, and create greater consistency across products and processes. The intern will help create client-facing correspondence samples, organize letter examples, and support standard work that helps demonstrate how New York Life is making correspondence easier to read, easier to understand, and more consistent across Absence, Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Life, and Voluntary Benefits (VB). This internship provides hands-on experience supporting business communications, correspondence modernization, client storytelling, process documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will work with subject matter experts across GBS to help account teams tell a clear story about how correspondence is being modernized, while also supporting the development of consistent practices, templates, and reference materials that strengthen how correspondence work is completed and maintained.
