Requirements
- Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and assess boiler systems under normal and emergency conditions using manual and automatic controls
- Operate and care for pumps, fans, control systems, and other auxiliary equipment
- Test boiler water chemistry, track results, and manage supplies for treatment and analysis
- Complete housekeeping tasks and conduct daily inventories of assigned plant areas
- Report concerns, complete documentation, and maintain regular contact with supervisor
