Corrections Utility Plant Operator - SCI Dallas

Requirements
- Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain three large steam boilers under normal and emergency conditions
- Operate and maintain pumps, fans, chemical systems, and other support equipment
- Test boiler water chemistry and keep accurate logs of all results and chemical inventories
- Guide inmate workers, ensure safety, enforce policies, and maintain secure tool control
- Complete housekeeping tasks, conduct inventories, and maintain a clean and organized work area
