About The Position
This position with the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Benner Township offers a strong mix of hands-on work and daily responsibility. Requirements
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, store, and distribute stock while maintaining accurate records.
- Manage inmate orders from form distribution to delivery and transaction recording.
- Issue inmate clothing according to policy and ensure proper documentation.
- Assign tasks, monitor work quality, and support safe and secure work areas for inmates.
- Use forklifts, hand trucks, and other tools to move and secure materials.
- Compile reports, input inmate credits into system, and document sales, shortages, and damaged items.
