About The Position
As a Corrections Stock Clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, you will contribute directly to the success of facility operations. This role allows you to take ownership of inventory processes while helping inmate workers develop important skills. Requirements
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possess an active motor vehicle license.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Train and monitor inmate workers in shipping tasks, record keeping, and equipment use
- Receive, store, and track materials and prepare requisitions for needed supplies
- Operate vehicles and machinery to move heavy items and support workflow needs
- Maintain a secure work area, manage tool inventory, and search inmates and workspaces for contraband
- Prepare routine reports related to attendance, production, and inventory activities
