Requirements
- Two years of experience in the locksmith trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair new and existing locks and related mechanisms while performing routine checks
- Produce original and duplicate keys from blanks, track broken, damaged or missing keys, and adjust master and issued key sets
- Determine tools and materials to complete work assignments, submit purchase requests, and maintain needed supplies
- Direct inmates in non-security tasks and keep accurate training, attendance, and wage records
- Search inmates and work areas for contraband during assigned activities
