About The Position

The Corrections Stock Clerk position with the Department of Corrections at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Mahanoy is responsible for organizing materials and maintaining supplies. This role supports warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and distributing inventory essential for the facility's daily needs. The position plays a key role in ensuring materials are secure, organized, and accessible throughout the facility, contributing to safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

• One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possess an active motor vehicle license.
• Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store stock from vendors, verifying documentation and ensuring proper unloading.
• Conduct periodic inventory audits, maintain adequate stock levels, and manage safe storage practices.
• Deliver inventory to designated areas within the facility and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Provide orientation, training, and work assignments to inmates, and supervise their completion of tasks.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, delivery vehicles, or other equipment to move oversized or heavy materials.
• Initiate supply requisitions and order warehouse office materials through the SAP warehouse inventory system.
