This position focuses on teaching refrigeration trade skills and supervising hands-on work that supports the safe and efficient operation of the institution. Through structured instruction and daily guidance, you help inmates develop practical abilities that can benefit them in the future. As a Corrections Refrigeration Mechanic Trade Instructor, you will perform the following duties: Classroom Instruction: Provide lessons on refrigeration trade practices and safe work methods. Hands-On Training: Guide inmates through installation, repair, inspection, and maintenance tasks. Tool Oversight: Issue, track, and account for tools and materials during training and work assignments. Work Coordination: Plan daily schedules and supervise the completion of assigned refrigeration projects. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed documentation of inmate attendance, progress, and work results. Material Planning: Determine and request needed tools and supplies for ongoing work tasks.
