Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in one of the Behavioral Sciences, Correctional, Police or Public Administration
  • Five years of experience in a correctional facility
  • Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence
  • Must submit to and pass a police background check, motor vehicle record check and drug screen

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Managers, Administrators and Command Staff by coordinating policy development
  • Researching and recommending revisions to the corrections, policies, and procedures
  • Integrating professional correctional practices as recommended by national accrediting agencies
  • Serving as Project Manager for the acquisition and maintenance of accreditation
  • Serving as Department liaison to accrediting agencies
  • Directly supervises the Physical Security and Safety Administrator
