Requirements
- Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Direct inmate work crews performing routine construction, maintenance, lawn care, snow removal, and janitorial tasks
- Review completed assignments and ensure they meet facility standards
- Teach proper use and preventive care of machinery and vehicles
- Issue, track, and account for all tools and materials used for work assignments
- Identify needed materials and submit purchase requests
- Assist staff with semi-skilled and skilled tasks in multiple trades
