About The Position

This position supports facility construction, maintenance, and renovation projects while guiding staff and ensuring compliance with technical standards. As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 3, you will perform the following duties: Project Coordination: Plan, monitor, and support construction activities by reviewing designs, attending meetings, and overseeing contractor work. Technical Oversight: Inspect facilities, evaluate equipment reliability, and confirm adherence to construction documents and standards. Staff Guidance: Advise maintenance personnel, supervise inmate work crews, and provide oversight of repairs and improvements. Policy Development: Create and implement maintenance policies to support safety, compliance, and efficient facility operations. Field Inspection: Travel to facilities, perform progress inspections, and verify project completeness and adherence to department expectations. Operational Support: Analyze mechanical issues, explore energy-saving solutions, and assist in planning for future maintenance needs.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a Facility Maintenance Manager 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Two years as a Facility Maintenance Manager 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Three years of experience as a Utilities Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
  • Seven years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including four years in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA
  • Able to perform essential job functions
  • Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
