Requirements
- Five years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment used in buildings; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship in the electrical trade; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year of journey level work in the electrical trade.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Teach electrical trade practices in both classroom and on-the-job settings
- Guide inmate work crews and monitor progress, attendance, and daily assignments
- Review completed electrical work to ensure safety, accuracy, and proper technique
- Issue, track, and secure tools and materials needed for training and work assignments
- Identify required materials and submit purchase requests to support electrical projects
