This position is responsible for a caseload of offenders, which involves supportive counseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, answering and following up on offender questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinate major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, often at a large facility or institution, such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation; as well as transition planning and coordinating. Preparing written reports/forms. Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating various documents and behavioral data gathered from interviews, written documents, and personal observation. Performing crisis interventions and routine counseling to include suicide prevention. Accounting for supplies or equipment. Developing, implementing, and managing applicable correctional programs.
