About The Position

Shamin Hotels is hiring a full-time, permanent Corporate Transition General Manager to support select-service hotels across multiple brands. The role is based in Richmond, Virginia, and involves traveling to hotels across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic during significant transitions, such as acquisitions, brand conversions, property improvement plans, or leadership gaps. The General Manager will stabilize hotel operations and improve guest scores, cleanliness, brand standards, and financial performance, then help leave each property with a stronger, more confident team. Between assignments, the role works on company-wide projects with the COO and VP of Operations. This is an ongoing Shamin Hotels position, not a contract or task-force assignment.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a General Manager, ideally in select-service hotels.
Required experience with Hilton and Marriott standards, systems, and quality assurance.
A demonstrated record of hotel turnarounds, including improved scores, rebuilt teams, or measurable results.
Strong financial skills and comfort managing a profit and loss statement.
Flexibility to travel and work varied schedules, including some weekends.
A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assess each hotel and develop a practical 30/60/90-day plan.
Lead hotels toward quality-assurance readiness and passing scores across the company’s brand families.
Coach front-line teams to improve guest service and guest scores.
Hire, train, and mentor employees and develop future leaders.
Manage hotel revenue, payroll, expenses, and financial performance.
Work with the COO and VP of Operations on projects that advance Shamin Hotels.
Travel to hotel assignments and work varied schedules, including some weekends.
