About The Position

Shamin Hotels is hiring a full-time, permanent Corporate Transition General Manager to support select-service hotels across multiple brands in Richmond, Virginia, and the Mid-Atlantic. The role is deployed when a hotel faces a major transition, such as an acquisition, brand conversion, property improvement plan, or leadership gap. The General Manager stabilizes operations and improves guest scores, cleanliness, brand standards, and financial performance, then develops a stronger and more confident team. The position includes working between hotel assignments on company-wide projects with the COO and VP of Operations. Shamin Hotels describes itself as Virginia’s largest hotel management company, with more than 85 hotels across Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG brands. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a General Manager, ideally in select service.
Required experience with Hilton and Marriott standards, systems, and quality assurance.
A track record of hotel turnarounds, including improved scores, rebuilt teams, and demonstrable results.
Strong financial skills and comfort managing a profit and loss statement.
Flexibility to travel and work varied schedules, including some weekends.
A valid driver’s license.

Experience with Hyatt or IHG.

Responsibilities

Assess each hotel and develop a practical 30/60/90-day plan.
Lead hotels to QA readiness and passing scores across the company’s brand families.
Coach front-line teams to improve guest service and guest scores.
Hire, train, and mentor employees, developing leaders who can sustain improvements.
Manage hotel revenue, payroll, and expenses.
Work with the COO and VP of Operations on projects that advance the company between hotel assignments.
