2027 Corporate Summer Internship Program- Planning & Trust Services
About The Position
This 10-week summer internship focuses on professional development, career growth, and building skills for success. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives, gain exposure to other departments through guest speakers and industry leaders, and build a network with peers. Interns also receive priority consideration for full-time opportunities throughout the Bank. The internship is within Wealth Management Trust Services at Wilmington Trust, a nationally recognized fiduciary-services organization. The department administers personal trusts on behalf of M&T Bank, Wilmington Trust, NA, and Wilmington Trust Company as trustee. Individual Trust Officers work in accordance with Wilmington Trust’s policies and procedures and contribute to its fiduciary responsibilities. The intern performs entry-level professional duties specific to the assigned area under immediate supervision.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities
- Complete entry-level professional duties and responsibilities specific to the assigned area of the Bank.
- Ensure activities adhere to established internal policies and applicable external regulations.
- Understand and follow the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with its Risk Appetite; identify risk-related issues requiring escalation to management.
- Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk; identify risk-related issues requiring escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and applicable issues raised by external regulators.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
