About The Position

This 10-week summer internship provides professional development, career growth, and opportunities to build skills for success. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives, hear from guest speakers and industry leaders, build a network with peers, and receive priority consideration for full-time opportunities throughout the Bank. The role is within Wilmington Trust’s Wealth Management Trust Services, which administers personal trusts on behalf of M&T Bank, Wilmington Trust, NA, and Wilmington Trust Company as trustee. Working under immediate supervision, the intern performs entry-level professional duties specific to the assigned area of the Bank and follows applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

Complete entry-level professional duties specific to the assigned area of the Bank.
Ensure activities comply with established internal policies and applicable external regulations.
Understand and follow the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with its Risk Appetite.
Identify risk-related issues that require escalation to management.
Design, implement, maintain, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and issues raised by external regulators, as applicable.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
