About The Position

The Corporate Site Security Officer is an on-site member of the Corporate Security team in Towson, Maryland. The role supports site safety and security by managing visitor access, monitoring security and fire suppression systems, patrolling the facility, documenting incidents, and responding to emergencies. The officer may also assist with C-TPAT compliance when applicable. The position requires physical fitness, the ability to respond on foot throughout the facility, effective communication and problem-solving skills, and CPR/AED/First Aid training. Candidates must successfully complete pre-employment background, motor vehicle record, and drug checks, and pass any state-required training or licensing qualifications. The listed annual full-time salary range is $33,400–$53,700. The offer may vary based on factors including job level, location, relevant knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and local wage requirements. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.

Requirements

High school degree or higher.
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
CPR/AED/First Aid training.
Effective oral and written communication, issue resolution, negotiation, and motivation skills; ability to collaborate, work as a team player, deal with obstacles, and partner with leadership to identify and resolve problems.
Physical fitness and ability to respond on foot throughout the facility.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
Ability to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing.

Nice To Haves

Some security, law enforcement, or military-related skills are desired but not required.
C-TPAT and/or regulatory compliance experience is a plus.
Proficiency in a martial art and/or other defensive skill is desirable.

Responsibilities

Direct visitors and control site access across various entry posts.
Monitor CCTV, security systems, and fire suppression systems.
Patrol and secure areas inside and outside the facility.
Document security- and safety-related incidents.
Administer first aid and serve as a first responder in crisis situations when needed.
Respond quickly on foot to locations throughout the facility.
Assist with C-TPAT compliance if applicable.
