About The Position

The Corporate Philanthropy Intern assists with Jackson’s Corporate Philanthropy program, which directs corporate donations and volunteer efforts into the local community. The role is part of the Enterprise Marketing and Communications department and offers exposure to Jackson’s communications and marketing teams. Other departmental duties may include copywriting, event photography, graphic design, and creating presentations.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Solid technical writing skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program required.
• Previous internship or work experience required.
• Previous volunteer experience required.
• Experience with event planning required.

Nice To Haves

• Fundraising experience preferred.
• Experience with social media and graphic design preferred.
• Completion of courses in Journalism, English, Communications, or Nonprofit Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes charity grant applications.
• Assists with company-sponsored special events.
• Assists with fundraisers and donation drives.
• Coordinates volunteer projects.
• Writes and edits articles for the company’s intranet.
• May perform other departmental duties, including copywriting, event photography, graphic design, and creating presentations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
