About The Position

The Corporate Philanthropy Intern assists with Jackson’s Corporate Philanthropy program, directing corporate donations and volunteer efforts into the local community. The role is part of the Enterprise Marketing and Communications department and provides exposure to Jackson’s communications and marketing teams. Other departmental duties may include copywriting, event photography, graphic design, and creating presentations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment in an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program.
• Previous internship or work experience.
• Previous volunteer experience.
• Experience with event planning.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Solid technical writing skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Fundraising experience.
• Experience with social media and graphic design.
• Completion of courses in Journalism, English, Communications, or Nonprofit Management.

Responsibilities

• Organizes charity grant applications.
• Assists with company-sponsored special events.
• Assists with fundraisers and donation drives.
• Coordinates volunteer projects.
• Writes and edits articles for the company’s intranet.
• May perform other departmental duties, including copywriting, event photography, graphic design, and creating presentations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
