About The Position

Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to drive sales and business development within its dedicated energy vertical. This role is crucial for identifying and engaging potential corporate partners to join Plug & Play's innovation programs, ultimately growing the energy vertical. The ideal candidate is driven, results-oriented, and passionate about innovation in the energy and climate tech sectors.

Requirements

  • Passion for Energy and Climate Tech.
  • Master's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, or 5+ years of industry experience in the energy sector, business development, or relevant engineering fields (e.g., mechanical, civil, or materials engineering).
  • 3+ years of work experience in sales and corporate client-facing role
  • Experience with B2B-based partnerships in your vertical category
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced, dynamic, and performance-driven environment.
  • Strong internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity
  • Can-do attitude, strategic thinker, and passion for new products and solutions

Responsibilities

  • Execute business development and corporate market research programs to identify and evaluate potential corporate partners for participation in Plug & Play Innovation programs in SV.
  • Conduct market research and analyses of companies in the relevant vertical to determine their viability for participation in Plug & Play Accelerator Programs.
  • Convince new partners to join the platform to support innovation within our programs and innovation strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with the Vertical Director and Ventures to close corporate membership contracts and allocate resources throughout the sales cycle.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals for prospects highlighting the advantages, features, and functions of Plug and Play.
  • Maintain an understanding of key industry trends and competitive issues and products.
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers, and support staff.
  • Provide regular reporting of pipeline and accurate forecasts through CRM.
