About The Position

This is a 12-week internship program designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience and build real-world skills. Interns will explore career possibilities, grow their network, learn from mentors and colleagues, and experience the company culture, values, and mission. The program includes structured corporate internship activities such as orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development. The intern will support the Portfolio Management team by gaining exposure to commercial lending, credit analysis, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. They will assist with financial spreading and analysis for commercial banking and middle-market lending initiatives, conduct credit-related research, and participate in portfolio monitoring activities. The role involves contributing to special projects to understand commercial banking and Commercial & Industrial lending, collaborating with various professionals within the Commercial Banking team, analyzing financial information, and supporting projects related to financing solutions, portfolio management, and client relationships. The intern must follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with financial information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills and interest in leveraging AI tools and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to special projects designed to build an understanding of commercial banking and Commercial & Industrial lending.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Commercial Lenders, Relationship Managers, Credit Professionals, analysts, and business leaders across the Commercial Banking team.
  • Analyze financial information and support projects that contribute to financing solutions, portfolio management activities, and client relationship objectives.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.
