About The Position

Associated Bank is seeking interns to join their Commercial Banking team. This 12-week internship program offers hands-on experience, professional development, and networking opportunities. Interns will gain exposure to commercial lending, credit analysis, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis. The program aims to help interns explore career possibilities, build real-world skills, and understand Associated Bank's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills and interest in leveraging AI tools and technology.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with financial information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, and professional development activities.
  • Support the Portfolio Management team through hands-on exposure to commercial lending, credit analysis, portfolio management, and financial statement analysis.
  • Assist with financial spreading activities and financial statement analysis supporting commercial banking and middle-market lending initiatives.
  • Conduct credit-related research and participate in portfolio monitoring activities that support lending and risk evaluation processes.
  • Contribute to special projects designed to build an understanding of commercial banking and Commercial & Industrial lending.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, Commercial Lenders, Relationship Managers, Credit Professionals, analysts, and business leaders across the Commercial Banking team.
  • Analyze financial information and support projects that contribute to financing solutions, portfolio management activities, and client relationship objectives.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines, and complete additional duties as assigned.
