Harvest Operations is currently recruiting a Corporate and Financial Systems Analyst, reporting to the Team Lead, Financial Reporting. The Corporate & Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the organization’s financial and corporate reporting systems. This role ensures system reliability, supports end-users, leads upgrade cycles, and enhances reporting capabilities across Finance and other corporate functions. The analyst acts as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors, ensuring that system solutions align with business needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational strategy. This is a permanent position based out of the Calgary Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial systems, corporate systems analysis, or Finance/IT hybrid roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, budgeting, forecasting, reporting).
  • Experience with Finance systems & platforms (Qbyte, Metrix, CS Land, EC, Execute) and reporting tools (PowerBI, Datahub).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting system upgrades, enhancements, and cross-functional projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL and data modeling.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional owner for financial systems (ERP, budgeting platforms, reporting tools).
  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Finance and corporate users.
  • Maintain system configurations, user roles, permissions, and master data structures.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial and operational reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment across main systems, reporting tools, and downstream systems.
  • Partner with Finance, Corporate Services, IT Services and business units to understand reporting needs and deliver automated, scalable solutions.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting cycles through system-driven efficiencies.
  • Lead or support system upgrades, patching cycles, module implementations, and integrations with other corporate systems.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design.
  • Coordinate and execute testing activities (SIT, UAT), documentation, and change management.
  • Work closely with IT and vendors to ensure successful deployment of system changes.
  • Analyze end-to-end Finance and corporate processes to identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved controls.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements aligned with best practices and system capabilities.
  • Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials for system-related workflows.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance, IT, HR, Procurement, and other corporate functions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure solutions meet operational needs.
  • Support governance activities related to data standards, system controls, and change management.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users on system functionality and reporting tools.
