The Corporate Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the effective and compliant management of market conduct activities for life, long-term care, disability, and supplemental health insurance products. This role manages assigned regulatory matters from intake through resolution, including complaints, subpoenas, data calls, and state-mandated non-financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work required, Associate or Bachelor's degree plus minimum 2 years of insurance industry; life, annuities or disability preferred
  • High School Diploma required, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
  • 4+ years of insurance experience; life, annuities or disability preferred
  • Customer Service Experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of market conduct regulations preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare state required non-financial reports and regulatory data calls by requesting, validating, and consolidating information from business partners to ensure accuracy, completeness, and state mandated deadline driven filings.
  • Coordinate regulatory complaint handling activities by managing intake, gathering documentation, drafting written responses for review, and supporting timely submission to state insurance departments, consumers, attorneys, and other regulators in accordance with state mandated deadlines.
  • Support responses to subpoenas and other legal requests by reviewing scope, identifying applicable lines of business, collecting responsive records, partnering with Legal and internal business units, and preparing materials for timely submission consistent with statutory and court ordered requirements.
  • Provide operational support for market conduct examinations and regulatory inquiries by coordinating information requests, organizing documentation, and supporting follow up activities under the direction of senior compliance staff.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned in support of Corporate Compliance objectives.
