About The Position

This role involves investigating and responding to inquiries and complaints related to title insurance issues from consumers, insurers, agents, and other entities concerning title insurance misconduct. The position requires conducting on-site and desk audits of title insurance agencies and their financial documents, determining the nature, scope, and direction of these audits. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data and marketing information to ensure compliance with statutes and administrative rules, negotiating outcomes between parties, writing investigative reports, assisting department attorneys with case development, and testifying in administrative proceedings. The role emphasizes critical thinking and strong written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Experience conducting investigations and compiling a case.
  • The ability to analyze financial data for potential issues.
  • Experience in auditing financial statements, accounting systems and records, and marketing material.
  • Experience as an insurance professional in the title insurance industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong well-rounded computer and writing skills.
  • A valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
